I have built off a lot of architects’ drawings. Skyline Habitat’s set for Toorak Ridge was complete — every junction resolved on paper before we hit it on site, and the RFIs across the whole build numbered fewer than ten.
We finished two months inside programme, and I priced their next job without a contingency for surprises. That is the review that counts from where I stand.

We asked for an extension; the studio talked us down to sixty square metres and we are glad they did. The pavilion holds everything we actually do — cook, eat, read, gather — and the old house works better as bedrooms and study than it ever did as everything.
